Calendula & Mandarin Orange Simple Syrup for Herbal Mocktails + Tea

Calendula & Mandarin Orange Simple Syrup for Herbal Mocktails + Tea

A bright, floral syrup for iced tea, rituals, and everyday magic

Looking to add a little sunshine to your tea, coffee, or summer mocktails? This syrup is sweet, subtle, and carries the gentle energy of calendula — an herb long used for protection, healing, and clearing negativity.

Mandarin brings light citrus notes and joy-forward energy, while calendula brings the magic. 🌞

✨ What You’ll Need:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar (or honey if preferred)
  • Zest of 1 mandarin orange
  • 2 tablespoon dried calendula petals (culinary grade)

How to Make It:

  1. Add water, sugar, mandarin zest, and calendula to a small saucepan.
  2. Bring to a simmer over low heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  3. Let simmer for 3–5 minutes, then remove from heat.
  4. Cover and steep for 15–20 minutes.
  5. Strain out solids and let cool.
  6. Store in a glass jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Herbal Highlights

Calendula:
Traditionally used to support skin, lymph flow, and the gut, calendula is also known in folk magic for protection and clearing lingering negative energy. It brings warmth and brightness — emotionally and energetically.

Mandarin Orange:
Zesty and uplifting, mandarin adds gentle citrus notes and is often associated with abundance and joy.

🍹 How to Use It:

  • Stir into iced herbal teas (try it with Rose Glow or Golden Slumber)
  • Mix into sparkling water or mocktails
  • Add a dash to coffee or espresso for a floral-citrus twist
  • Use in moon rituals or tea ceremonies for intention setting and energetic protection

Suggested Pairing:

This syrup was made for Rose Glow — our floral, heart-opening tea with rose, peppermint, hawthorn, and calendula. Sweeten to taste, pour over ice, and sip something that loves you back.
